Meet Kimber.
Ten years on the same downtown corner — one chair, one set of careful hands.
Kimber opened A Gemstone Hair Studio to do hair the way she always wanted to do it — slowly, with real conversation, with formulas she trusts on her own scalp first. She trained as a stylist out of high school and never stopped, attending Aveda’s professional seminars every year to keep up with the techniques and tones that clients are asking for next.
Kimber is a long-time resident of Cumberland, and she’s proud to have A Gemstone Hair Studio supporting causes close to home. Each year the studio supports the Cumberland Forest Society and the Cumberland Community Schools Society with donations.

The studio is a single chair — no booking site, no front desk, no hold music. The fastest way to a Saturday slot in three weeks is to pick up the phone, say hi, and tell her what you’re hoping for. A text works, too.
